With 70 new Owners in the last month, we’re well on our way to the 2000 Owners needed to open OUR store! Spread the word to your friends and neighbors. Join our welcoming community. Together, we are building a community-owned grocery store where we can make consumer choices that reflect our values. To stay on track with our funding goals and a December opening, we will need to reach 2000 Owners by December 1.

Grant Award!

The recently passed State of Illinois budget includes $100,000 earmarked for Wild Onion Market’s refrigeration equipment! We would like to thank IL State Representative Kelly Cassidy (14th District) and her Chief of Staff, Torrence Gardner, for their support in securing this needed funding. This means that we are now closer than ever to securing the funding we need to open our store at the end of this year.

Thank you to the 65 Owners that helped raise $22,000 by contributing to our 205 Campaign in June – they received Wild Onion Market totes!

We are so close to our fundraising target! We only need to raise $294,000 more of the $1.16M Capital Campaign goal. Now that we have been awarded $350,000 in City and State funding, are in the process of securing our bank loan, are on pace to reach our Owner goal, and have resumed construction, raising the remaining funds are the last major obstacle to overcome. Please consider making a contribution or investment today.
