Wild Onion Market is proud to give back to the community by allowing customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar amount. The monthly Change for Change total is then donated directly to a non-profit chosen by our Community Engagement committee.
October 2026 Recipient: Friends of Peirce
Friends of Peirce is parent-led non-profit supporting equitable enrichment opportunities at Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies, a CPS school.
More than 1,000 Pre-K through 8th grade students benefit from the funds raised by Friends of Peirce to support cultural and arts programming. Peirce has a diverse community of students from across far north side of Chicago, including Rogers Park.
The funds would be used to support access to classroom integrated Arts Partnerships for all grades. This both supports academic learning and empowers students’ creativity and collaboration. Past partners have included local organizations such as Raven Theater, Playmakers Lab, and Imagine Performing Arts (among others).
