Did you get a chance to swing by our grand opening last Saturday? With a full day of events, not only did the first 50 visitors receive a goodie bag, highlights included music from duo Steve Gibons and Gabriel Datcu, Bengali music group Ochin Pakhi, magic by Rebecca Spectre, a workshop on buying in bulk, trivia games, and giveaways.
Children enjoyed the kids corner which included activities such as scratch art, painting, games, and the debut of our co-op explorer program – which allows children to receive one piece of fruit per visit. Local vendors such as Grandma Fannies Handcrafted Soaps & More, Old Arthur BBQ Sauce, White Oak Gourmet, Nemi Snacks, and many more offered samples adding excitement to the community’s experience!
Now that we’re officially up and running (now accepting EBT/LINK!), we’re looking forward to many more celebrations, collaborations, and opportunities to build community in the Rogers Park area and beyond.
