In alignment with the 7th Cooperative Principle: Caring for the Community, starting Wednesday, September 11th (today!), we will begin fundraising for A Just Harvest, a local non-profit. Wild Onion Staff will ask if you’d like to round your transaction up to the nearest dollar to support A Just Harvest, through October 31st. A Just Harvest provides vital resources to those in need every day of the year. Their mission is to help strengthen and rebuild the local community by listening, supporting, and working alongside residents. They use three key strategies to fight hunger and poverty: 1) Direct service—feeding the hungry, 2) Advocacy and community organizing—empowering through Northside POWER, and 3) Community and economic development—creating jobs, education, and growth opportunities. |

They grow and distribute food, compost waste, and support the community by improving the environment, promoting healthy eating, and boosting the local economy. Their goal is to make healthy food more accessible, reduce food waste, and create local jobs. You can find their products throughout our store. We carry their dill pickles, giardiniera, pickled beets, red onion jam, and their fresh, seasonal produce. Right now we have their green sweet peppers, rainbow chard, and root vegetables! |
