Meet the Women Behind the Businesses

This weekend, join us for a Women’s History Month gathering to celebrate and meet some of the women-owned businesses who are bringing nourishing and delicious goods to our community! We’re so excited to have vendors like SydPlayEatTasting India, Nemi Sticks, Grandma Fannie’s, Sol Food Natural Soaps, Miicki’s Sweets, and Katherine Anne Confections with us in person. Plus, try some 100% plant-based all natural baked goods from local baker Someday Sourdough. Gluten-free and allergen-friendly items will be available.

During the event, we’ll also hear from a special speakers from Evanston YWCA and Evanston Grows who have been dedicated advocates for women’s empowerment. Can’t wait to see you there!

Upcoming Gatherings!

We’re already getting ready for April! Check out some of the fun events we have coming up and add them to your calendar!
One of our favorite local, woman-owned small businesses—Someday Sourdough—will be sharing some of her delicious homemade doughnuts, bundt cakes, cookies, and breads at pop-up bake sales on April 3 & 4 (until she runs out)! Baker Ania B. uses high-quality, fresh ingredients for her 100% plant based all natural baked goods! Gluten-free and allergen- friendly items will be available.

If you missed our first Fermentor Friday, we’re back in April to talk about living liquids like kefir and kombucha! Novice, master, or totally new—all fermenters are welcome to learn, support, and experience new ways of fermenting. Bring your ideas, your jars, and your latest fermentation projects to share!

Since the very first Earth Day in 1970, April 22 has been a day to recognize the importance of our planet and to advocate for, rally around, and spread awareness for ways to caretake our global home. At our event Celebrating Earth Day, you’ll hear from our community members about how they practice care and stewardship of the Earth, plus tips for cultivating your own green thumb!

Come one, come all! Bring your knitting, crocheting, stitching, weaving, and other crafts (at any stage of completion) to the Stitching Circle and create alongside other fellow local fiber artists!
New deals on your favorite snacks, household staples, and more!
