| Besides being delicious and refreshing, melons are an excellent source of key nutrients and electrolytes! Your summer source of immune system and skin-supporting Vitamin C, melons also contain beta-carotene which supports vision health.
This week, we have local watermelon in three colors (orange, yellow, and red), plus juicy cantaloupe from Persimmon Ridge Farm in Illinois!
With so many heirloom tomatoes to choose from, we thought it’d be a good time to talk about seed saving. Have you ever harvested tomato or pepper seeds? It’s a way to keep the harvest bounty going from season to season. Just scoop, rinse, and dry seeds from your favorite tomatoes and plant them in the soil next spring to try your hand at growing them in your own back yard! |
