TODAY: Fermentation Share & Tell
|
| It’s Fermentor Friday! Are you in the middle of active fermentation projects? Working on a new formula? Fermenting for the first time or never fermented? Guess what? Let’s celebrate our work together! Bring samples, stories, suggestions and questions. Novice and seasoned fermentors are welcome.
Join us TODAY Nov. 6 from 6-8pm in the seating area near the cash registers! |
| While we’re on the topic of gut-healthy goods, we wanted to feature Vargo Brother Ferments, a local and Black-owned business dishing out unique spins on fermented classics. Their power kraut, pickles, and kimchi-style collard greens are sure to keep your gut microbiome happy and healthy!
Especially as we enter cold and flu season, eating fermented foods is a great way to keep your body full of healthy bacteria that can keep other bacteria at bay. |
| We’re going back to our roots for this harvest season! Do you know your squash? Check out the many local varieties we have in season—from spaghetti to autumn frost to delicata, we’ve got a squash to scratch every craving and itch!
Plus, local green cabbage (Adam’s Acres), celeriac, rainbow carrots (Miller’s Farm Fresh Produce), rutabaga (Saratoga Homestead), purple turnips (Knapp Family Farms), watermelon radishes, and cherry belle and winter mix radishes (Sola Gratia Farms). |
